EnergizeCare and Dementia Connection Institute Announce Strategic Partnership to Build the Midwest’s First Comprehensive Dementia Hub and Expand Dementia Education Across Central Ohio
EnergizeCare is pleased to announce a one-year strategic partnership with Dementia Connection Institute, led by Dr. Jennifer Stelter, to advance dementia education and strengthen services for individuals living with Alzheimer’s disease and other dementias, their care partners, families, healthcare professionals, and communities.
The partnership brings together two organizations committed to dignity, compassion, meaningful engagement, and person-centered dementia support.
As part of the collaboration, Dr. Stelter will serve as a professional consultant to EnergizeCare during the development of Lisa’s Place, envisioned as the Midwest’s first comprehensive Dementia Hub.
Dr. Stelter will provide expertise as EnergizeCare creates an environment that is safe, welcoming, accessible, and dementia-friendly. Her consultation will help guide decisions involving interior decorating, color selection and visual contrast, lighting, furnishings, accessibility, safety, navigation, room arrangement, and the overall use of space.
These environmental considerations will be designed to promote comfort, independence, dignity, and meaningful engagement for individuals living with dementia.
Dr. Stelter will also advise EnergizeCare as it fine-tunes and reshapes its respite care engagement programs. Her expertise will help ensure that activities remain purposeful, person-centered, and responsive to the strengths, interests, and needs of the wonderful people EnergizeCare serves.
