Welcome Our New Board Members & Senior Advisors

As EnergizeCare continues to grow and prepare for the launch of EnergizeCare Dublin – Lisa's Place, Central Ohio's first freestanding non-medical dementia respite care center, we are honored to welcome an exceptional group of community leaders who have joined our mission. Their collective expertise in philanthropy, nonprofit leadership, healthcare, fundraising, marketing, communications, and community engagement will help guide EnergizeCare through this exciting new chapter.


Together, they share a passion for improving the lives of individuals living with Alzheimer's disease and other dementias while providing hope, respite, education, and support for the care partners who walk alongside them.



Diane Doucette

Senior Advisor for Healthcare Partnerships, Dementia Education & Community Outreach

A highly respected healthcare executive, Diane brings decades of leadership experience with Mount Carmel Health System, where she helped develop and expand hospitals throughout Central Ohio. She will provide strategic guidance in building healthcare partnerships, expanding dementia education, strengthening community outreach, and connecting EnergizeCare with hospitals, healthcare professionals, and community organizations.




James "Jim" Mendenhall

Board Member and Current Care Partner

Fundraising, Governance & Caregiver Advocacy

Jim brings decades of nonprofit leadership and fundraising experience, including major gifts, donor development, and corporate partnerships. As both a seasoned nonprofit executive and a care partner to his wife Gail, an EnergizeCare participant, he offers a unique combination of professional expertise and personal passion that will help guide our mission, strengthen philanthropy, and advocate for families living with dementia.




Andy Shaffer

Board Member

Community Leadership, Fundraising & Mission Ambassadorship

Andy has dedicated his life to nonprofit leadership, fundraising, and volunteer service throughout Central Ohio. Inspired by his own family's Alzheimer's journey, he brings extensive experience in community engagement, sponsorship development, charitable events, and relationship-building, helping EnergizeCare expand its visibility, partnerships, and community impact.



Lisa Tenenbaum

Senior Advisor for Marketing, Communications & Strategic Partnerships

As Executive Director and CEO of the MCORE Foundation, Lisa brings outstanding nonprofit leadership, communications, and strategic partnership experience. She will help strengthen EnergizeCare's marketing, professional communications, donor outreach, LinkedIn presence, public relations, and community partnerships while supporting the organization's continued growth and visibility throughout Central Ohio.




Marc Tenenbaum

Senior Advisor for Community Engagement & Strategic Storytelling

Marc is an accomplished marketing and community engagement leader with extensive experience in branding, storytelling, nonprofit events, and public awareness campaigns. His expertise will help EnergizeCare expand its community presence, strengthen social media engagement, promote our signature events, and advance the "See Our Wonderful People™" Be Kind & Loving Dementia Awareness Symbol & Movement.
